WHO AM I?
ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Amin, an Ottawa-based data scientist. I started this blog to share my work (trying to make them more sport oriented) as I learn more about data science techniques that are used in this field. .
Academic
I have a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. I also have completed my Master’s of science in Statistics from Carleton University in 2019.
As it shows I have I am interested in sports. I have done my Master’s thesis on Soccer (Statistical Assessment of Soccer Players). I also have work closely with one of the NHL Team’s analysts (they shall remain nameless) which you can find the code here{link}.
I accept projects that are not sport related too.
Career
I am Data Scientist. Most recently, I’ve worked at Canada Intellectual property office as an Economist/Statistician and Canada Revenue Agency (my current position) as a Data Scientist.

WEAKNESSES
I am more comfortable working with R and Python than using SQL. Image processing is something that I am working on to get a better grasp at it. Expanding my knowledge in Deep learning models.
HOBBY
I am very interested in cardio intensive workouts. Currently I am doing CrossFit. I love soccer.

I am a very hardworking person and I like to constantly improve in my profession. I respect the rights of other human beings, and their ideas and way of thinking are important and respectable to me.
